These requirements make it necessary that the stair is balanced during its complete up and down movement. The used balance system together with the maintenance free bearings of easy action assures easy operation and simple handling. The main parts and their functions are the spring cylinder, frame, steps, locking device, handrail, springboard, and contact bracket.
